High School Programs

Our High School Program offers students aged 14 to 18 the chance to study in Canada, attending public schools or private schools (day schools and boarding schools). Students in day schools are matched with a carefully selected Canadian host family.

Every student is different and our matching process reflects that. We consider the school, the neighbourhood, the host family, the sports they play, whether they play an instrument or want to learn a new one, whether they prefer an IB or AP program or a unique elective like fly fishing or the arts, and whether they prefer mountains, city life or the countryside. Every detail matters, because the right match makes all the difference.

We offer both long term programs (5 months, 10 months and graduation programs) and short term programs (3 to 4 months) so every student finds the option that fits their life.

Preparation & Training: We prepare every student and parent for what's ahead with our own pre-departure online orientation covering Canadian schools, host families and cultural transition. Before arriving in Canada, students also join a 3-day in-person orientation in New York or Los Angeles with the ICES USA group, where they meet peers, receive hands-on training and get ready for their Canadian adventure.
